Historical Day Time Tours of Craig y Nos Castle must be booked in advance at Reception. The day tours are conducted by Len Ley, local historian, author and foremost authority on Adelina Patti and the history of Craig y Nos Castle. You will be given a one hour to two hour tour of the outside of the castle, explaining its history, together with a tour of all inside rooms on the ground floor – Nicolini Bar, Patti Bar, Music Room, Billiard room, Health Spa (formerly the Aviary), the Conservatory and the Grade One listed Opera House. You will also be shown some of the recently refurbished rooms in the old servants quarters, now known as the Atrium Block; these rooms have now been converted into 20 pleasant en-suites. Generally there should be a minimum of five people to hold a tour. Tours cost £10.00 per person, to include, in addition to the tour itself, tea / coffee and biscuits in the Patti Bar or marquee lawn and a complimentary copy of the castle’s ‘blue book’ (featuring historical photos published in the 1950’s), plus the latest edition of the official Castle Newsletter and Tri-fold.
